In search of gems
There are times when I have nothing much to say. At these times I simply observe the world and attempt to absorb all that it is trying to show me. I read. I learn something new. I seek interesting ideas. I think. But above all I do not write. You might even say I cannot write. Even though there may be impending catastrophes, I am inward, introspective and content. Upon reflection, this state of being feels like I've been operating on a higher plane. These are the times I usually read an article in a blog I've never read before, discover a new song, or enjoy an artist I've never really taken notice of. It is a tender joy and a peaceful respite from routine. I find it necessary to experience these moments where breathing isn't for survival but for enjoying the breath. Eventually though, as time passes and life once again regains it's hectic pace, these occasions become a blur and I rarely remember the feelin...
